Previous thread: Week 74 (DBZ 169, movie 8 ) ![]() I said I'd post it on Wednesday, and by god I'll-Īhh shit, it's an hour and a half late. I encourage you all to watch in Japanese with subtitles, especially if you have never done so before, but watch along in whichever way brings you the most joy. We're doing five episodes a week, and we'll be watching every single episode of Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, and Dragon Ball GT. owner but wouldn't meet Vegeta and become a mother to Trunks, and Yamcha either stays in the desert as a bandit or still meets Bulma during her quest for the Dragon Balls and becomes her boyfriend right up until the Dragon Ball world ends.Hello, ladies, gentlemen, and everyone between and beyond, and welcome to week 75 of the first Dragon Ball rewatch of the decade. Vegeta would never come to Earth, begrudgingly remaining part of Frieza's crew, there would be no 'good' Piccolo, Tien and Chiaotzu would remain as villains, Krillin would be Master Roshi's sole pupil (and a crushing disappointment), Bulma would still be an incredibly successful Capsule Corps. ![]() Other characters are unlikely to fare much better. Goku, and everyone else on Earth, dies at the hands of Raditz, if they hadn't earlier under the rule of King Piccolo. Gohan isn't born, Goku doesn't train with King Kai and he never hits Super Saiyan. Thanks to Raditz then, humans would've been killed at the very beginning of Dragon Ball Z so the planet could be sold on by Frieza, meaning the alien would've decimated both of Goku's homes without the Saiyan getting a chance at revenge. Unfortunately, Goku would be easily killed by Raditz, who also takes out King Piccolo if the Namekian dictator is still around. Realizing Goku has forgotten his mission, Raditz does the job himself, but Goku would oppose this, still being a kind soul thanks to Grandpa Gohan's teachings. If Goku somehow manages to survive King Piccolo, his Saiyan brother Raditz arrives on Earth a few years later, expecting Goku to have killed off mankind. Piccolo almost certainly overpowers Goku and seizes control of the Earth, as the Saiyan has now missed training with both Roshi and Korin. Shortly after, Emperor Pilaf releases King Piccolo onto the Earth, as in the actual Dragon Ball story. Determined, Goku's search continues until he reunites with the Red Ribbon Army and trains enough to beat them. Assuming Goku survives his Red Ribbon Army encounter, he surely then ventures into the outside world to get the Four Star Ball back, but would struggle without either his Nimbus Cloud (from Roshi) or Bulma's Dragon Radar.
